  2. The flexibility of Thinking increases innovation for leadership decisions. For leaders working with a team, flexible Thinking enhances creative problem solving as well as relationships by being flexible and how results are achieved.   15. Running a million-dollar one-person business isn't about toiling for long hours. Unlike in a traditional job, where your pay may be closely tied to the hours you put in, your own business income stems from how smart and selective you are about how you use your time. (The Million-Dollar)
  16. A key to making a great first impression is to remember people's names and aspects about their lives. I have a trick to help with this. I make a real effort to remember someone's name when I first hear it. I first introduced myself, then I let the person I'm talking with say his or her name, and then either I ask that person to repeat it, pretending I didn't hear it, or I repeat his or her name again, possibly using it in the first sentence of conversation.   17. Many busy leaders leave self-reflection to chance too often. Having an opportunity to notice one's inner calling, dilemma, satisfaction, or unmet need leads to a richer life. (Zoom Leadership)
  18. Turns out there's not a strong correlation between great interviewers and great employees, so I've learned to use the interview as one input into the hiring decision as apposed to the end-all, be-all factor. (Recruit Rockstars)
  19. Learning how to take a pass on interesting opportunities that may distract you from your vision and goals is the most crucial skill you can develop if you want to grow revenue exponentially as an ultra-lean business. (The Million-Dollar)
  20. If you meet someone you know you want to spend more time with later, ask if they have a business card (rule number one when you're out networking-always carry a business card!) sometimes there are people you don't want to give your car too, which is fine. You can always say, “I'm so sorry, I just ran out, but I can take yours.” (Friend Request Accepted)
  21. Leaders who cultivate an awareness of their emotions are better able to interpret and regulate them. They are better able to demonstrate empathy, which improves relationships with management, staff, and customers (Zoom Leadership)
  22. Remember, Rockstars crave challenge even more than money. Explain that you're committed to making this the most engaging, interesting role they've ever held and the greatest career challenge they've ever faced. (Recruit Rockstars)
  23. Before you attend any event, do a quick Google search to learn more about the topic, the host organization, etc. This will help you have relevant go to questions ready and make it easier for you to fit in and engage with others. (Friend Request Accepted)
