The technology plan for our practice is to keep up with technological advancements but ensure that they have significant research backing them before we implement them with patients. The primary focus of our practice is providing Depression treatment via Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). This technology has existed since the 1980s but received its FDA approval as a Depression treatment in 2008. This is a good example of how advances in technology will allow for new ways to treat patients, but it may be years before they can be safely and effectively implemented.
