When the COVID-19 pandemic started to rattle businesses globally in early 2020, most companies were muscled to switch to telecommuting, leaving behind their brick-and-mortar offices.

But—what most organizations soon discovered was that full-time remote work makes employees more productive, improves their work-life balance, and generally has a positive impact on the bottom line, among other things. In the long run, however, remote work might not be a sustainable model. After all, collaboration is more challenging, projects tend to drag out, and getting new employees up to speed is a straight-up chore for both managers and HR.
That's why at LiveCareer, they've decided to ask 1,000+ working professionals in the US—who have been working remotely since the start of the pandemic—about how they feel about telecommuting nearly a year in, whether they want to go back to conventional offices, and what extra perks they'd like to get if returning to the office is inevitable.
