The Best Times Of The Day To Get Things Done, According to Science – [Infographic]

Part of being a leader is knowing how to get the best out of people, including yourself. Optimizing performance requires understanding how people work, and one major influence on that is how our bodies work. You may well have some kind of knowledge of which parts of the day feel like more of a slog than others and also when it feels like your staff aren’t quite as quick as normal to respond to your emails.

Luckily we have scientific studies being done all the time to explore the way our bodies operate at different times of the day, so it’s possible to pick out the best activities to help you get things done. For example, if you want to get an important email opened and read, send it between 7am and 8am, while 9am is the best time for breakfast, with the ideal start to your working day actually being 10am.

Lunchtimes are best taken at 1pm, while it’s best to hold a catch-up with team leaders and colleagues at 5pm before the end of the day. Check out some more tips about the best time to get things done and why not think about how you can optimize your workday.
