What can you do to reduce workplace health & safety hazards? [Infographic]

Workplace accidents happen all too regularly, with subsequent investigations often discovering that a safety hazard went undetected and contributed to the accident, which may have seriously injured the victim or even killed them. Many employees who suffer non-fatal accidents at work will take legal action in a bid to win compensation from the company, so it is imperative for employers to keep workplace hazards to a minimum.

It isn’t just obvious dangers like heavy machinery, wet floors or working from heights which could lead to trouble, either. People working with chemicals or in asbestos-ridden environments are highly susceptible to severe health problems which develop gradually but reap deadly consequences.

Check out the infographic below from Union Quay Medical Centre which outlines the most pressing health and safety risks and the steps that employers should take to ensure that these risks are minimized.
